We are seeking a highly motivated Environment Officer to join our exceptional and growing team. 

Covering the districts of Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, St. Helens Sefton and Wirral, this post is specifically targeted at ambitious individuals who wish to develop their environmental, development management, EIA and strategic planning careers and play a leading role to develop a circular, climate resilient economy in our City Region.  If you are working towards a professional membership that would also be helpful.

The Environment Officer will fulfil a leading role in development management services for environmental issues including waste and minerals planning applications often involving EIA.  The role also has a strong spatial planning focus including monitoring and review of the Joint Waste Local Plan and will involve strategic planning and liaison work on low carbon development, climate change, circular economy and aggregates requiring close working with officers in the local authorities and more strategically.  In particular, applicants with strong project management skills and the ability to demonstrate good relationship management with site operators are welcome. The role offers great opportunity for professional development and a clear career development path to more senior roles within the team as professional experience grows.
