Take part in the City Nature Challenge this weekend:
Friday 24th to Monday 27th April!
We’re encouraging people in the North West to search for wildlife living on their doorstep, connect with nature and help us discover who our wild neighbours are, by joining people in cities around the world in the citizen science project, the City Nature Challenge 2020.
HOW TO TAKE PART?
People can participate in the Challenge by photographing flora, fauna and fungi in and around their homes over the four days and uploading the images onto the free wildlife recording app iNaturalist.
iNaturalist can be downloaded through the Apple store,Google Play or www.inaturalist.org.
WHY TAKE PART?
Not only is this activity great for your mental wellbeing by reconnecting with nature but these records will help us form an evidence base that underpins conservation, decision making, forward planning and development throughout Merseyside.
COVID-19
Remember to follow government guidance – stay safe and stay at home.
Please do not travel to participate in this event; there is a whole array of wildlife waiting to be discovered on your doorstep. More information regarding COVID-19 and the government’s advice can be found here: www.gov.uk/coronavirus.
